These terms govern your use of this website and set out the key terms that apply when you hire a vehicle from Combline Rentals Ltd. Your signed rental agreement contains the full terms of your hire and takes priority if there is any difference.
1. Using this website
Information on this website, including vehicle availability, specifications and prices, is provided for general guidance and may change without notice. Photos may be representative. A vehicle is only reserved for you once we have confirmed it in writing.
2. Eligibility
- You must hold a full UK (or exchanged) driving licence and a valid TfL private hire driver licence for the full rental period.
- Minimum age, licence history and insurance criteria apply and will be confirmed before your agreement starts.
- You must provide genuine, current documents. Supplying false information will end the agreement immediately.
3. Payments and deposit
- Rental is charged weekly in advance on the day agreed in your contract.
- A refundable deposit is payable before collection. It is returned after the vehicle is handed back, subject to inspection and to any outstanding rent, fines, charges, damage or excess being settled.
- Late payments may result in the vehicle being recovered and a recovery fee being charged.
4. Minimum term and notice
Each vehicle has a minimum hire term, shown on its listing and in your agreement. After the minimum term you may end the hire by giving at least 7 days' notice and returning the vehicle to our hub in the agreed condition.
5. Insurance, maintenance and mileage
- Private hire insurance is included and covers only the named, approved driver(s). An excess applies to claims as set out in your agreement.
- Routine servicing, MOTs and general maintenance are included. You must report warning lights, faults and damage promptly and make the vehicle available for scheduled servicing.
- A weekly mileage allowance applies to each vehicle. Excess mileage may be charged at the rate stated in your agreement.
6. Your responsibilities
- Use the vehicle lawfully, only for licensed private hire work and reasonable personal use, and keep it clean, secure and smoke-free.
- You are responsible for parking and traffic fines, Congestion Charge (where applicable), tolls and similar charges incurred during your hire. An administration fee may apply to fines we have to process.
- Do not sub-let, lend or allow anyone else to drive the vehicle.
7. Accidents and breakdowns
Call our 24/7 line immediately after any accident, theft or breakdown. Do not admit liability to third parties. Where a replacement vehicle is included it is subject to availability and to the terms of your agreement.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for loss of earnings or other indirect loss arising from a vehicle being unavailable, except as set out in your agreement.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
